Mental Health Resources for Parents
Our School Board has shared mental health resources for students, teachers and parents over the last month. We have reviewed the educator resources with staff and are also sharing the information for parents here through the blog. - Mental Health Resources for Parents

Coop Student Featured in Diefenbunker Museum Blog
We have been featuring our All Saints cooperative education students in this blog over the past several months. One of our students who has been completing their placement at the Diefenbunker, has been featured in the Diefenbunker’s own blog. Read the feature on Alison here:

University of Ottawa Partnership - Maker Mobile Team
The University of Ottawa's Maker Mobile team from the Faculty of Engineering visited grade 7 Science students on Monday, February 11th. Students from Ms. McNelles's class participated in an interactive workshop on 3D printing to create their own 3D model using Tinkercad, a user-friendly 3D modeling software. Students from Mr. Robinson's class learned basic coding concepts and created a game using a Mirco:bit board. A Micro:bit is a small board that has a micro-processor, accelerometer, sensors, a display of 25 LEDs and two programmable buttons. Micro:bits are now used in education to encourage young people to get actively involved in writing software and building new things. The aim of Ottawa U's Maker Mobile team is to encourage creativity, problem-solving skills, and interest in technology. We hope to have Maker Mobile back again for other grade 7 & 8 classes in the late spring!

CAMH - Ontario Student Drug Use Survey
Randomly selected Gr. 7-12 classes will be completing the Ontario Student Drug Use Health Survey (OSDUHS) on either Feb. 26th or Feb. 28th. Every two years, this anonymous voluntary student survey is conducted to serve as a resource for public health monitoring. We participate in this survey to help gather this valuable information. We do not receive any school specific information, but the overall information is valuable to understand the students’ tendencies in Ontario and the results from this survey are shared with us.
Students who are in the classes that have been selected to complete this survey received a parent consent form on Tues. Feb. 12th. Students must return the parent consent form signed by their parent by Feb. 21st, in order to participate in this survey.
We encourage as many students as possible to participate in this survey. Thank you for your assistance and support with this. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact: Mrs. M. J. Gillier-Symes, Vice Principal.

There is a great deal of information on the CSPA website regarding information for parents and upcoming sessions. You can visit the website here.
