Student Council Spirit Week
Our Student Council has planned a spirit week for this upcoming week at All Saints. Their schedule for student activities and a special grad fundraiser are below:

Cupid’s Choice (February 15, 2019)
In closing our Valentine’s Spirit Week and in keeping with a Student Council tradition, on February 15, 2019 the Student Council would like to organize the “Cupid’s Choice” lunch. This activity will include a group of 10-15 individuals from the Graduating Class promoting a specific lunch that they will prepare or buy for the Student(s) who sponsor them. The individuals promoting the lunch will give a short speech on the Monday and Tuesday announcements at lunch, advertising their meal. The proceeds from the event will partially be donated to charity and a portion of the proceeds will be used as a fundraiser for Student Council.

Ottawa Public Health - Vaping and Cannabis Information
We discussed issues around vaping at our last All Saints School Council meeting. In addition, Ottawa Public Health has prepared a package of resources for the intermediate/secondary schools in the Ottawa Catholic School Board. The packages contain information on the new amendments to the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 (SFOA) as well as resources for educators and posters for youth on vaping and cannabis. The information in this package will assist staff, students and families to become more informed about these issues and the available community supports.

The package includes 3 items that we are sharing with parents:
- a letter to parents from OPH
- parent resource on vaping
- parent resource on cannabis
