Closing of the 2015-2016 School Year

We are entering the final week of our 2015-2016 school year.  It has been an extremely prosperous 10 months with a great deal of learning opportunities made available for our students and staff.  This past week saw a successful exam week come to a close as well as our celebratory activity day and student-staff games for our 7&8 students.  

A special thank you to our students, staff and school council members who worked so well together to contribute to our All Saints culture.  I wish all of our “family” a safe and restful summer break and look forward to welcoming our returning students and families back in September.  

Grade 12 Graduation

Our Grade 12 Graduation ceremony will be held at the school on Wednesday, June 29th at 1:00 in the afternoon (doors open at 12:30 for seating).  Please see our student services website for specific information regarding the timing.

Grade 8 End of Year Information

The end of the year for our 7&8 students is quickly approaching!  Monday, June 27 is our Academic Awards Ceremony.   Parents of grade 8 students are invited to attend the Academic Award Ceremony which will take place on Monday, June 27, at 10 a.m. in the cafeteria gym. This is not a graduation ceremony, but rather an opportunity to recognize the efforts and achievements of our students. Students are asked to dress in Sunday best, rather than formal wear.

For lunch, students are reminded that the cafeteria will be closed and should bring a lunch from home.  After lunch, at 12:45 pm, grade 8 students will participate in a semi-formal dance while grade 7s attend regular classes.  At the end of the day on Monday, June 27th students will return to their homerooms to receive their report cards.

New Pedestrian Crossover

The City of Ottawa has contacted All Saints because a new Pedestrian Crossover has been installed within 2 kilometers of the school. Pedestrian Crossovers are identified by specific signs and pavement markings, and vehicles (including cyclists) must yield to pedestrians at these locations.  The attached e-Poster (link below) illustrates the new Pedestrian Crossover.  Additional information such as what they are, how they work, and where they are located can be found on Ottawa.ca.

Drivers/Cyclists will be fined $150 to $500 with 3 demerit points for offences at Pedestrian Crossovers.  Enforcement of offences at Pedestrian Crossovers will begin as soon as they are unveiled.  The installation of the new Pedestrian Crossovers requires a significant change in travel behaviour for all road users to ensure a safe road environment for pedestrians at these crossings.  e-poster
